Bryla Cabinet by Furn Object wins Best of Year Award for Design
We're happy to share that Furn Object received the Best of Year Award in the Residential Storage Design category.
The winning piece is the Bryla Tall Cabinet, a sculptural storage cabinet that stands at the intersection of collectible design and functional furniture.
“Bryla” means “boulder” in Ukrainian, and we wanted this cabinet to embody the strength and harmony with nature that are deeply valued in our culture.
At once a cabinet and a collectible design object, it reflects balanced strength and tells a story of harmony achieved when individual elements support and enhance one another.
Its form explores the relationship between sculptural furniture and practical storage, making it both expressive and functional within an interior.
The award ceremony took place in New York on December 11, celebrating the BoY’s 20th anniversary.
The Best of Year Awards celebrate innovative work from international designers shaping what’s next in design.
We’d like to thank the jury and everyone who voted for us. We also want to thank the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who make it possible for us to keep living and creating in today’s world.
