This collectible designer wall sconce is handcrafted from stainless steel and glass. Inspired by fleeting glimpses of light from another time, the Glimpse Sconce continues the theme of the Portals Collection by Furn Object.

Its asymmetrical metal form captures a specific, frozen moment and, combined with glass, allows light to break through. It becomes a localized portal through which something alive and calm emerges.

Designed by Anna and Sergii Baierzdorf, the Glimpse Sconce is handcrafted by multi-generational artisans, making each collectible wall light unique.

The Haze Satin finish on stainless steel creates a transition between matte and gloss. The metal of this wall lamp appears unexpectedly soft, reflecting one of the central ideas behind the Portals Collection: light has the power to transform the nature of things.

  • The Glimpse Sconce is constructed from stainless steel and gravity-slumped glass. The production process involves laser-cutting an organic silhouette from sheet metal and hand-welding side panels to create structural depth and volume.

    The glass component is shaped in a muffle furnace using the gravity slumping technique, where the material forms naturally under its own weight. The metal and glass elements are assembled using mechanical fasteners and industrial-grade adhesives.

    The stainless steel body features a manual Haze Satin finish. This non-uniform treatment creates a multidimensional surface that transitions between matte and gloss, reflecting light unpredictably. Due to the handcrafted nature of the forming and finishing processes, every piece is unique.

    Each item is stamped with the studio's hallmark and serial number and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The object is made of 100% recyclable, high-durability stainless steel and glass.

    The tables are made from stainless steel, an extremely durable material that will last for years. The table is 100% recyclable, we have not used any additional details from other materials.

First unveiled at Alcova Milano during Milan Design Week, the Glimpse Sconce is part of the Portals Collection by Furn Object.

With the Glimpse Sconce, we wanted to create an intimate source of light that quietly transforms a space. Whether placed in a luxury residential interior, boutique hotel, gallery, hospitality project, hallway, bedroom, or living area, it brings warmth and stillness while functioning as both sculptural wall lighting and a collectible design object.
